From the people behind our flowers
Our dried Blue Lotus comes to us from Sri Lanka, through Mithula in the Matale region. We've worked with him for years. He works with growers Ruwan and Mala, a couple who grow, gather and prepare the flowers by hand while raising their family. I like being able to tell you a little about the people behind what we're selling, rather than just putting a flower and a price on a page.
You'll often see the name Egyptian Blue Lotus. That's the plant's historical common name (Nymphaea caerulea), not a claim that this batch was grown in Egypt. More about Blue Lotus and our sourcing.
