Our Hojicha is a gently roasted green tea with warm nutty and caramel notes and a softer, more mellow flavour than a typical green tea.

It comes from the same three-generation family we work with for our Mother Earth Matcha in China.

How to use

Steep in hot water and enjoy on its own, or add milk for a simple Hojicha latte. Avoid boiling water if you prefer a softer cup.

The family behind our tea

One of the things that matters most to me with Mother Earth is knowing there are real people behind what we sell.

Our Hojicha comes through the same family relationship as our Matcha: Yuan, his son Alex, and little Alex, the next generation growing up around tea.

We work directly with the family rather than buying through a chain of anonymous wholesalers. If I have a question, I can ask the people behind the tea. That relationship means far more to me than simply finding another product to put on the website.
