Ceremonial Cacao: Simple Serving Suggestion

This is the simple Mother Earth starting point for a cup of ceremonial cacao.

Ingredients

  • around 20–25g ceremonial cacao
  • 150–200ml hot water or milk of choice
  • optional honey, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon or another flavour you enjoy

Method

If you are using a blender or frother, add the cacao to the hot liquid and blend until smooth.

If you are using a saucepan, chop or grate the cacao first, then warm it gently with the water or milk while stirring until smooth. Avoid letting it catch on the bottom.

If 20–25g feels too rich, use less cacao or more liquid next time. There is no prize for making the cup stronger than you enjoy.
