Practitioner Business Guide | For Holistic & Wellness Practitioners
A practical business guide for cacao facilitators, holistic practitioners and people building a wellness business
I put this guide together for people who are good at what they do, but aren't always sure about the business side of turning it into something sustainable.
You might be a cacao facilitator wondering what to charge for your first circle, a Reiki practitioner, yoga teacher, therapist, coach, studio owner or simply starting to think about working for yourself.
I've built Mother Earth from the ground up, with cacao at the heart of the business, and learned plenty along the way, including a few lessons I'd rather have learned earlier. This isn't about getting rich quickly or pretending there's one formula that works for everyone. It's about the normal decisions that actually matter when you're trying to make a living from something you care about.
What's inside
- Working out what to charge for a session, circle, class or workshop
- Knowing what something actually costs you before deciding your price
- Getting your first customers and encouraging repeat business
- Finding and working with venues
- Collaborations with other practitioners and studios
- Marketing without spending your life on social media
- Selling products alongside your services where it genuinely makes sense
- Adding other income streams without trying to do everything at once
- Managing stock and cash more carefully
- Knowing when an idea is worth pursuing
- Lessons from growing Mother Earth, including things I'd do differently now
- Keeping the business manageable as it grows
Cacao business examples, without making it cacao-only
A lot of the examples naturally come from cacao because that is where Mother Earth started. If you're a cacao facilitator, the guide can help you think through the practical side of pricing a circle, the cost of the cacao you serve, venue costs, finding your first customers, collaborations, selling cacao alongside your events and building other sensible income streams.
But the thinking applies much more widely. A yoga teacher still has to understand the cost of a class. A therapist needs customers and boundaries around their time. A Reiki practitioner may want to work with a venue or build an additional offer. The point is to understand the numbers and decisions behind the business, not copy Mother Earth.
A bit of WhatsApp support too
For a limited time I'm including some WhatsApp business support with the guide.
Once you've worked through it, you can message me with a few reasonable follow-up questions. That might be around pricing, your first offer, finding customers, working with a studio or simply figuring out what to focus on next.
It's not ongoing one-to-one consultancy or unlimited messaging. I wanted the guide to have a bit of actual human support behind it rather than sending you a file and disappearing.

If you already work with cacao professionally, Mother Earth also has Cacao Practitioner Kits and a Wholesale & Trade pathway for suitable professional supply. Those links are there if you actually need stock. You don't need to become a wholesale customer to use the guide.
Who is this for?
It's mainly for people working, or hoping to work, in wellness and holistic practice. Cacao facilitators, Reiki practitioners, yoga teachers, therapists, coaches, circle facilitators and other self-employed practitioners can all use it.
You don't need an established business. In fact, some of it is more useful before you've spent money setting everything up.
FAQs
Is this a cacao business guide?
Cacao is a big part of it because Mother Earth grew from cacao and the guide is included in our facilitator training. There are practical cacao-business examples throughout, but the wider business principles are designed for holistic and wellness practitioners too.
Is it only about cacao?
No. Pricing, costs, customers, venues, collaborations, products, marketing and managing your time apply across many types of self-employed wellness work.
Do I need business experience?
No. I've kept it straightforward and practical rather than filling it with business terminology.
What do I receive?
The digital Practitioner Business Guide, along with details of the limited WhatsApp support currently included.
Is the WhatsApp support unlimited?
No. It's there for reasonable follow-up questions after you've worked through the guide rather than ongoing consultancy or daily business coaching.
Is the guide included in the cacao course?
Yes. If you're joining either full Cacao Facilitator Training option, don't purchase this separately. It's included in your training.
Can I use it if I already have a business?
Yes. There is plenty around pricing, costs, collaborations, products, marketing and deciding where your time and money are best spent.
This guide is educational and based on practical business experience. It isn't individual financial, tax, legal or accounting advice.
