Cacao, Matcha & Tea Wholesale for Cafés

Cacao, Matcha & Tea Wholesale for Cafés

If you run a café, coffee shop, retreat venue or studio café and want something beyond the usual coffee menu, this page is for cafés looking at cacao, Matcha and selected teas for their drinks menu.

It also connects to our wider Wholesale & Trade page if you want to explore other ways of working with Mother Earth.

Cacao as a proper menu drink

Cacao works best when it is treated as its own drink rather than hot chocolate with a wellness label stuck on it. Our ceremonial cacao range includes distinct origins and larger café or practitioner formats when available.

For a café, the important things are consistency, taste, preparation time and being able to explain simply what you are serving. We can help with all four.

Café formats that make sense

For cafés using Matcha regularly, ask us about larger trade formats, subject to current stock. We also supply cacao origins in formats suited to regular café use when available.

If you are testing a new drinks menu, you do not need to start huge. We can help you choose a practical first order based on the number of drinks you expect to serve.

Matcha from the family we buy from

Our ceremonial grade Matcha comes through a three-generation tea family in China. We also source Hojicha through the same family relationship.

Tea beyond Matcha

Matcha is only part of the café range. Depending on your menu, Chai Masala, Ceylon chai, Hojicha and selected botanicals can be just as useful, especially if you want a few non-coffee choices without making the menu enormous.

Browse Botanicals & Rituals or ask us what is currently available in café-friendly quantities.

The cacao behind the cup

Our cacao is kept separate by origin rather than blended into one anonymous product. That gives café staff a real source story they can explain simply, without exaggerated claims or a ten-minute speech at the counter.

Cafés we work with

We work with Nutbutter at its Grand Canal Dock, Smithfield and Dundrum Town Centre locations in Dublin. See Nutbutter’s locations.

What we can help with

  • Choosing cacao, Matcha and tea for a drinks menu
  • Larger trade formats where currently available
  • Simple preparation guidance for staff
  • Trade pricing and current stock
  • Keeping the drinks menu interesting without overcomplicating it

Hospitality beyond the café counter

If you are working with a hotel, spa, guesthouse or retreat rather than a standard café, see our Hotels, Spas & Retreats page. It covers serving products, small reception retail ranges, gifts and retreat quantities without duplicating the café information here.

Trade catalogue

If you already have Mother Earth trade access, use the Trade Catalogue Login. If you are setting up a new café account, message Garrett on WhatsApp with the café name, location and what you are considering for the menu.

Prefer Faire?

If you also buy retail stock for the café, you can connect with Mother Earth through Faire Direct. Eligible retailers may be offered payment terms by Faire, subject to Faire’s own approval and terms.

If the café has a retail section as well, see the Health Shops & Independent Retailers page.

If you are still working out what to put on the menu, our practical guide to adding ceremonial cacao to an Irish café covers preparation, staff training and the cost of a cup before you place a trade order.

Looking at tea as well as cacao? Read how to choose a small herbal tea range for a café or studio, including preparation, pricing and keeping non-food botanicals separate.

Gifts, herbal teas and seasonal trade

If you're adding a small seasonal shelf, start with the Christmas gift overview and our guide to choosing a small tea range. For yoga or retreat businesses serving cacao, the modalities guide explains the separate services and training pathways.
