Looking for something different to coffee?

This is not an anti-coffee page. It is for the mornings when you want a different kind of cup.

At Mother Earth that usually means ceremonial cacao, Matcha, Hojicha, chai or green tea. They are not interchangeable, and I would rather explain the difference than call everything a “natural energy” drink.

Ceremonial cacao

Cacao is richer, thicker and slower to make than coffee. It naturally contains theobromine and some caffeine. I like it because it feels like an actual morning ritual without needing to become a big ceremony.

Matcha

Matcha is powdered green tea, so it contains caffeine. Our core Matcha comes through a three-generation tea family in Hangzhou, China. It is a very different drink to cacao and coffee, with its own taste and preparation.

Hojicha, chai and green tea

Hojicha is roasted green tea with a warmer, toastier flavour. Chai gives you spice and tea rather than a coffee-style cup. Green tea is the simplest option of the lot.

The best coffee alternative is the one you genuinely enjoy enough to make again. No detox promise, no guaranteed focus, no pretending one cup suits everybody.
