Guatemalan Ceremonial Cacao: Caoba, Río Dulce
Guatemalan Ceremonial Cacao: Caoba
Río Dulce, Guatemala | 100% cacao | 227g & 454g
Caoba is our Río Dulce origin: a rich Guatemalan cacao with a deeper, rounder character.
After the cacao is grown, it is prepared in Guatemala by a collective of Mayan mothers around San Marcos La Laguna. The beans are roasted, hand peeled and stone ground before becoming the blocks that arrive with us in Ireland.
That part matters to me. It means the product page is not only about grams and tasting notes. There are women, families and skilled hands behind the block, and buying this cacao helps keep that work moving through the community.
Flavour
Deep, rich cacao with a fuller forest-style profile and a grounding finish.
How to use
Chop or shave the block, melt gently into hot water or milk and whisk until smooth. Use it for a simple cacao drink, your own ritual, smoothies, porridge or baking.
Ingredients: 100% cacao. No added sugar or fillers.
From Río Dulce to the women preparing it in Guatemala, and then to Mother Earth in Ireland, the people behind this cacao are part of the product.
