Egyptian Organic Blue Lotus Flowers & Crushed Petals (50g)

From Sri Lanka to Wexford 🇱🇰 → 🇮🇪

One of my favourite parts of building Mother Earth has been getting to know the actual people behind the plants we bring in.

Our Blue Lotus comes through Mithula in Sri Lanka and the growers he works closely with there, including Ruwan and his wife Mala.

Mithula is in his late 20s, a computer science graduate and a young entrepreneur building something of his own. Outside of work, he loves photography and videography, so there’s usually a camera not too far away while he’s travelling around Sri Lanka.

Over time, it’s become much more than placing an order with a supplier. You get to know the person at the other end, hear about the growers, their families and where everything is actually coming from.

That matters to me.

I could probably make things easier by buying Blue Lotus from a big wholesaler somewhere in Asia, but I’d rather keep that connection to the source for as long as we can.

As Mother Earth grows, I want to still know the people behind what’s sitting on our shelves here in Wexford.

So when a pouch of our Blue Lotus lands through someone’s door in Ireland, there’s a little journey behind it.
