Traditional 5 Piece Matcha Kit

Everything you need to whisk a proper matcha at home. This is the five-piece preparation kit; matcha powder is not included.

What’s in the kit

• Ceramic matcha bowl (chawan)
• Bamboo whisk (chasen)
• Whisk holder
• Bamboo scoop (chashaku)
• Stainless steel sifter

How to use it

Sift 1–2g of matcha into the bowl. Add a little hot water, not boiling, and whisk until smooth and frothy. Add more water or milk to taste. Rinse the whisk after use, let it air dry and keep it on the holder.

The bowl is dishwasher safe; hand wash the bamboo tools.

Our Matcha comes through a direct relationship with a three-generation family tea producer in China: Yuan, his son Alex, and little Alex. We work with the family directly rather than buying anonymous tea through a chain of wholesalers, and that relationship is part of why we keep their family story visible.
